About Quadra Roots
Welcome to Quadra Roots, we are a provider of ready-to-go meals, both fresh and frozen, on Quadra Island, BC. Our kitchen and storefront is located at 1271B Heriot Bay Road, just south of Rebecca Spit.
We offer fresh prepared foods from our VIHA certified facility, and weekly delivery is available from Heriot Bay to south Quadra Island. Our meals are affordable, wholesome, nutritious and plant-forward. Whenever possible, we support other BC and Canadian farmers.
We also offer personal chef services and catering, subject to availability.
Please note that although we have pickup service, we do not offer dine-in options, and we do not have public restroom facilities.
About Tara
My name is Tara Taylor and I live with my husband and kids on an old Quadra homestead.
I learned to cook at the side of my mother, who taught me that feeding people well is the ultimate expression of caring, a principle that has guided me throughout my life.
I'm passionate about sharing delicious, nourishing meals that support responsible stewardship of the planet.
Although I was a vegetarian for many years, my family and I follow a "flexitarian" diet, and we grow most of the food we consume. As a trained chef and a farmer I am excited to share my skills and knowledge with my Quadra Island community.
